Painting Our World

January 21, 2017

I have never considered myself as a political person. There I said it. I know in these times that's a wimpy statement. But I've never been party loyal, I've always been candidate loyal. The right person for the right job. So that being said I've voted both party sides through the years. This time was no difference in my method, but there was a huge difference in the level of my dislike for one of the candidates. It wasn't political for me this time, it was about basic human rights, basic good, basic kindness.  I don't think I have to say much about it, most folks will understand my deep seated dislike and the reasons for it. Today for my contribution for the 30 paintings in 30 days I documented something that is happening in MY world, in YOUR world, to OUR WORLD. Women, I am so profoundly proud of you all. We are women, hear us roar for what is right, for what is good, for equality and for the right to have a voice. Today Washington D.C. turned pink as Women marched and I became a political person.

I give you "The Day DC turned Pink" a watercolor.

"Paint your world, create beauty, share the joy" in whatever color you want for, this is the land of the free.

Thank you for stopping by, best wishes for the future that we come together united in what is best for each and everyone of us. ~ Judy
