What's on the Easel
at my studio

My creative journey has led me to explore a variety of techniques and mediums, but watercolor has always been my favorite. As an artist, I strive to bring my ideas to life and create meaningful pieces that evoke emotion and inspire creativity. Check out my current projects and join me on this artistic journey.

WORK IN PROGRESS

It’s been a busy few months in the studio, with a 30 paintings in 30 days challenge, followed by “Faces of February,” and now a deep dive into my current ACEO series exploring shoes. Each project has added its own rhythm, and together they’ve added up to a lot of brush miles and creative momentum.

What’s been most interesting is how one idea has quietly led to the next. Time spent exploring reflective glass and still life, shifted into painting the people around me; family and friends raising a glass in celebration. Those portraits, in turn, began to evolve, finding expression not just in faces, but through the drinkware of choice and the stories they carry.

Lately, that exploration has moved from glasses to shoes. Small self-portraits in their own way, each pair hinting at a different version of self.

In between these smaller, daily works, I’ve also been stepping back and going larger, giving some pieces more room to breathe and evolve. It’s been a season of both discipline and play, structure and exploration.

As always, this is where ideas are tested, directions shift, and new threads begin to emerge...

Pet Portrait Central

I have a few pet portraits under way as well. I do love painting people's pets. Each has its own personality that I try to convey with water and brush. How about a painting of your beloved furbaby, I'd be happy to create it for you.
